Most little girls dream of being rescued from something (a horrible stepmother for example) by a knight in shining armor. Of prince charming slaying the dragon and carrying them off to his castle far far away. That one day their whole lives will change when they get their first kiss from their true love.
I never wanted all that. I never asked for it. And I sure as hell didn't get it. I knew the fairy tale life just wasn't for me. But I did have dreams of meeting a man who, while not perfect, could be my prince charming. Someone funny, thoughtful, intelligent, and considerate. I don't think that is too much to ask for. Apparently I am wrong.
Maybe I should have aimed for the fairy tale.
This was emailed to me. Being the mother of a 3 year old little boy myself, I couldn't not post this. I forwarded the email to everyone I know and am now posting this for everyone whose email address I don't have to read and please sign. How anyone could ever do something so horrendous to a child is beyond my comrehension. That their sentences could be shortened and they be given new identities makes me sick. Help keep them where they belong by signing this and passing it on to everyone you know. Think about just ignoring this, think of how that poor boys mother is feeling knowing that those two morbid individuals who brutally took her baby's life before he even had a chance to live it.
Please copy and paste this into your email and send to everyone you know. PLEASE don't forget to sign it!
For his Memory
Do you remember February 1993 in , when a
young boy of 3 was taken from a shopping
centre by two 10-year-old boys?
Jamie Bulger walked away from his mother for only
a second, Jon Venables took his hand and led him out
of the mall with his friend Robert Thompson.
They took
Jamie on a walk for over 2 and a half miles, along the
way stopping every now and again to
torture the poor little boy who was crying
constantly for his mummy.
Finally they stopped at a railway track where they
brutally kicked him, threw stones at him, rubbed paint
in his eyes, pushed batteries up his anus and cut his
fingers off with scissors.
Other mutilations were
inflicted but not reported in the press.
N.B.
:- Remember, a 3year old cannot possibly
defend themselves against a 10 year old, let alone 2 of them.
What these two boys did was so horrendous that
Jamie's mother was forbidden to identify his body.
They then left his beaten small body on railway
tracks so a train could run him over to hide the mess
they had created.
These two boys, even being boys,
understood what they did was wrong, hence trying to
make it look like an accident.
This week Lady Justice Butler-Sloss has awarded
the two boys (now men), anonymity for the rest of
their lives when they leave custody with new
identities.
They will also leave custody early only
serving just over half of their sentence.
They are being relocate d to to live out
the rest of their lives.
They disgustingly and
violently took Jamie's life away and in return they
each get a new life!

I went out with some friends last night. Crazy as we are, we went to a midnight sale on Thanksgiving day. If you have ever been shopping on Black Friday, imagine that times 2. That's how crazy it was. They were giving away gift cards to the first 1,000 people there. Needless to say, we did not make it in the top 1,000. And there was an overabundance of stupidity out there. But overall, it was a great night. Yeah, I became a human ice cube sitting outside waiting of a friend to come out of the store, and yes I had to deal with a lot of odd people just randomly walking up and talking to me (I was one of the odd people talking to strangers as well). But the rest of it was totally worth it.
I should start with the car ride there. Originally it was only supposed to be two friends and myself going. Well, we stopped for gas and bumped into the cousin of one of my friends and her boyfriend. We ended up with two additional passengers. At first I wasn't overly happy about being squashed in the backseat with two complete strangers. But once we all started talking, I got to like the girl. She was funny. And the poor guy had to endure nearly 45 minutes of girl talk. And not just the complain-about-your-spouse kind either. We talked about everything from spouses to sex to high school memories. By the end of the night, I kinda felt sorry for him. Only kinda though.
Then came to freezing cold standing in a line that seemed like it would never end just to get into Victoria's Secret. I have to say that I will NEVER attempt going there the day after Thanksgiving again! Who would have thought that there were that many women who wanted bras and panties?!?! It was a mad house. They didn't have the doors manned very well so they were attacking people who were leaving the store to make sure they weren't stealing. And it was just random people. There really was no rhyme or reason to what they were doing. Which is why Tracy and I decided it was safer to sit on the bench outside the store to wait on Ginny. Of course had we known she was going to be waiting in line for an hour just to check out, I'm sure we would have told her to meet us and Barnes & Noble. This is where the human ice cube comes in.
Then there was the car ride home. Everyone was tired and winding down. Edward fell asleep. We tried three different McDonald's to get something to eat. Only one was open, but, surprise!, their credit system was down and they could only accept cash. So on we went.
Ginny and I live really close, so we dropped everyone else off first. After we dropped Tracy off and we were headed home, we both decided we were still hungry. The only place open was Waffle House. We walk in and there are 5 drunk college idiots at the bar and a homeless guy sitting in the corner. We ordered our food and as we were waiting we decided to help the poor guy sitting in the corner. The drunk guys at the bar were getting louder and even more annoying. So we run outside and across the street to the bank. And when I say we ran over there, I mean it literally. Ginny nearly made me fall by making me laugh with her comments about not having run in a long time and how her bum was jiggling. So we make it to the ATM and she can't remember the pin number for her card. In her defense, it's a new card and a new account. So we go back and sit down. Our food was already waiting for us. As we walk through the door, the drunken morons at the bar decide it would be funny to yell out "welcome to CiCi's". I just couldn't help myself anymore and told them how annoying they were being. Thankfully after one more ear splittingly off key rendition of I Proud to be an American, they left. As we finished our food, the homeless guy went to the bathroom. We thought this would be the perfect time to take care of his tab (Ginny paid) and leave him some money on the table without him knowing who it came from (I gave him the last $10 I had on me). He came back out and say down as we were walking out. The look on his face when he saw the money was heartbreaking. It nearly made us cry.
So overall, it was a great night. Not one I care to repeat anytime soon though. No more midnight shopping on Thanksgiving day for me!
Can someone please tell me why .....
Why does my husband feel it is necessary to follow me everywhere?
Why he thinks its funny to annoy me? And then tell me there is nothing for me to get pissed off about?
Why when on kid gets sick, they all do? At the same time? I mean, I am only one person and I can only clean up so much vomit at a time!
Why, when they ate the same thing a few weeks ago and loved it, the kids have to complain about what's for dinner?
Why, when they know it is going to hurt, the kids stick their hands in the hot water?
Why, when on a rare occasion I actually want a cookie, there are never any left?
Why, when I am so exhausted I can barely keep my eyes open, I can't seem to sleep?
P.S. Forgive the random babbling. I am having a rough day and am just a little irritated.

So according to this definiton, flirting with someone other than your spouse is not condisidered cheating, right? To cheat on one's spouse you have to be sexually unfaithful. So is flirting with someone else really harmful if both people know it's not serious and nothing will ever happen between them? If it's just a joke or for fun? There' is nothing wrong with that is there?
I don't think there is. I have a lot of male friends and flirt with most of them. With most, it's like an ongoing joke. My husband knows about it. So I don't see anything wrong with it. But, yesterday someone told me flirting is a form of cheating. She was just being a vindictive b**** when she said it, but it still got me to thinking.
So, is flirting a form of cheating, or is it all just harmless fun?
Love at first sight? Is that even possible? There are a lot of people who seem to think so. I am not one of them. When you first see someone, you judge their outer appearence. What they are wearing, their hair, their eyes, body type, ect. If you find them physically appealing, you might consider that love at first sight. But really all that is is lust. Nothing more. To truely love someone, you have to know them. You have to spend time with them and learn what makes that person who they are. All the little quirks that are unique to them. Of course no one is perfect. So to really honestly love someone, you have to love their flaws too. Not like them, but them them in spite of the flaws.
Now for the question of soul mates. Is there such a thing? Is there really someone out there designed by God to be 100% perfect for you? And if there is just one, how do you go about finding this person? And in the event that you do happen to find them and something happens to them, what then? Is that it? Are you supposed to spend the rest of your life alone, with just your memories of that person to keep you warm at night? Or is it possible that, in the event something happens to your soul mate, there is another out there somewhere? And if that is so, then that would mean that both of them are perfect for you, right? And if they are both right for you, then is it just a matter of chance that you met the first one first? Or was the first one not really the one for you?
P.S. I apologize for my random musings. I had some very strange dreams last night that made me think of this stuff.
If you had to give up one of your favorite foods, which one would it be?
Since I recently (and by recently I mean in the past year) was diagnosed with diabetes, I did have to give up a lot of my favorite foods. This did not make me happy!!! lol
I think the easiest to give up was the pastas. Not that I can't eat them anymore, I just can't eat them like I used to. Which is a good thing I guess. It has helped me lose weight, and as any woman will tell you, that's always a good thing!
The hardest thing to give up (which I really just had to cut back on, not stop eating altogether) was potatoes. I didn't realize until I was told not to eat them, how often I actually did. It didn't seem like a lot at the time, but I ate potatoes in one form or another nearly everyday. My husband and children did not appreciate the change in their meals due to my new dietary guidelines. But if I can't have it, I'm sure not going to serve it to them!!!!
I was talking with some friends a few nights ago, all of whom I went to school with. We got to talking about people we knew in school, and what we knew of them now. And it made me want to get in touch with people from my past. Then I started thinking (which can sometimes be a very dangerous activity for me). I thought about how much I have changed in the years since I graduated, and everything life has delt me and the way I have handled it. And talking to a certain friend about they way she was back then and why made me realize that I didn't really consider why people did the things they did back then. I never even stopped to think about why they might be complete jerks. I just assumed that's they way they were and I didn't want anything to do with it. Not that I had a rough time in high school. Actually, no one really gave me any problems. From what people tell me now, everyone just thought I was shy, quiet, smart, and likeable. What most of them didn't know was that when I smiled at them, I wasn't smiling for the reasons they thought I was. I was smiling because I thought they were complete idiots and that they shouldn't speak unless they could improve the silence. Hearing nothing was preferable to the meaningless gossip and ramblings that they were constantly spouting.
Now I look back at that and think, wow! I was the jerk! People might not have known it, but I was probably the biggest jerk there. Not that I thought these things about everyone. There were a lot of people I actually liked, But as a whole, I really didn't like people.
So as I think about getting in touch with people from my past, I wonder what they really thought of me. Did they do the same thing to me? It scares the hell out of me to even conteplate talking to some of these people now. I wonder if it is worth it to talk to them or are they going to blow me off? And do I really want to know what they thought of me? Or worse, what they think of the person I have become?
Ok I know that I don't always call people back and I have a tendency to not talk to my friends for weeks at a time sometimes, but darn it I'm busy. I take care of kids all day, go to the gym so that I can try to lose some weight, then I have to make dinner, give Cadin a bath and get him to bed. And that's on a good day! I don't always have time to just drop everything to listen to other peoples problems. I would love to help as much as I can, but I'm only one person and I can only do so much.
So does that give other people the right to get mad at me and treat me like crap? I don't think so. So I didn't call back when I said I would. I'm sorry. But you know what, I am always there for all of my friends and family when it's serious. If one of them goes in the hospital, you can be sure I'm there. If they have a serious problem, I'm always there to listen. All they have to do is call. And everyone knows that.
So I'm sorry if I can't always be the first to call, or I don't have time to listen every time you have a bad day. I have a life to you know! And if this offends you, too bad. Get over it or find someone else to whine to!!
Would you believe me
If I told you the sky was green
And the grass was blue?
Would you trust me
To tell you the truth?
Would you listen
If I said to you
The moon shines at noon?
Would you believe me
If I told you
I loved you?
